These terms describe the basic rules for using the DeskLedgers website, trial and accounting application.

1. The service
DeskLedgers provides browser-based accounting tools, document capture, reports and related services. Features vary by plan, country and product stage.
2. Accounts and access
Provide accurate information, keep login details confidential and ensure workspace users are authorized. Notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
3. Trial and subscriptions
New customers may receive a 14-day trial as shown at signup. Paid plans, limits, taxes, renewal and cancellation terms will be shown before purchase.
4. Your data and responsibilities
You retain ownership of company data and are responsible for its accuracy, lawful collection, permissions, exports and review of reports, OCR results, AI suggestions and accounting entries. DeskLedgers is not a substitute for your accountant or tax adviser.
5. AI and OCR
AI and OCR may make mistakes. Review the source document and result before relying on it or posting a transaction. Do not use the service as the sole basis for high-stakes decisions.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious code, interfere with other customers, violate law or process information you do not have the right to use.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Backups reduce risk but are not a replacement for customer exports. We may suspend access for security, abuse, maintenance or legal reasons.
8. Ending use
You may request account closure through support. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, misuse, security risk or legal reasons, handling remaining data according to our Privacy Notice and applicable law.
